Job Placement Assistance
MTI’s mission is to help students change their lives by gaining employment in their chosen career field. One of the most common questions students ask when choosing a program is, “Will I find a job after graduation?” As thousands of MTI graduates have experienced, the skills students gain at MTI can open doors to fulfilling career opportunities.
In an effort to support our students as they transition into the workforce, MTI offers Job Placement Assistance to all qualified students and graduates.
It’s important to note that MTI cannot and does not guarantee a student will obtain employment.
What is Job Placement Assistance?
MTI’s Job Placement Assistance services include a variety of support and resources intended to help students secure employment after graduation from MTI.
MTI’s dedicated team of Placement Coordinators provide personalized support to connect students and alumni with employment opportunities. These resources include:

How Do I Qualify for Job Placement Assistance Services?
At MTI, every qualified student has access to Job Placement Assistance Services. As students approach the end of their program or course, they must meet the following criteria to qualify for these services:
- Maintain an overall grade point average of 70% or higher
- Achieve an overall attendance rate of 90% or better
- Remain in good standing with MTI
If you’re a current student and have questions regarding the status of your qualification for Job Placement Assistance, contact your program’s Placement Coordinator or speak to your instructor. Even after graduation, MTI continues to be a resource for our alumni!

- Dedicated Job Placement Coordinators: MTI’s Job Placement Coordinators are available for each program to provide you personalized guidance and support as you navigate your job search and achieve your career goals.
- Resume Writing: MTI provides workshops to help you build a resume that highlights your strengths and stand out in a competitive job market, whether you’re a current student or alumni. Individualized support is also available upon request.
- Networking and Referrals: MTI has established partnerships with local employers across all our campus locations to help our students secure employment upon graduation. MTI’s Placement Coordinators can also help connect you with employment opportunities and assist in requesting professional references from instructors or school officials to help support your job applications.
- Application Assistance: MTI’s Placement Coordinators can help you find and complete applications for roles within your career field.
- Interview Preparation: MTI’s interview preparation workshops help you build confidence, make a positive first impression, and navigate the interview process. Plus, you’ll learn how to follow up effectively and showcase professionalism through your attire.
- Career Planning: Meet with your Placement Coordinator to receive personalized guidance and identify opportunities based on your career goals. MTI’s Placement Coordinators can help you map out a path for long-term career success.
- Job & Career Fairs: MTI hosts a variety of job and career fairs on campus in partnership with local employers. These are open to both current students and alumni! Follow us on social media for the latest, or join the Alumni Association.

MTI & Springfield Clinic Tuition Reimbursement Program
Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) is proud to partner with Springfield Clinic to provide tuition reimbursement for current MTI medical assisting students. Through this partnership, MTI’s Medical Assisting Program students can complete their Externship at Springfield Clinic and potentially obtain employment and potentially qualify for up to $10,000 in tuition reimbursement after graduation.
