Midwest Technical Institute opened the doors of its first Missouri campus in October 2012. The Springfield, MO, campus is approximately 39,000 square feet, including 5,000 square feet of welding shop and classrooms and the approximately 3,800-square-foot cosmetology salon.
Welding was the first program offered at MTI Springfield, MO, followed closely in February 2013 by the HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) Technician Program. Programs for medical assisting, dental assisting and cosmetology were added soon after. The trucking programs, CDL and professional truck driving, were added in February 2014.
