Midwest Technical Institute Springfield, MO Campus History

Midwest Technical Institute opened the doors of its first Missouri campus in October of 2012. The facility is approximately 39,000 square feet, including 5,000 square feet devoted to our welding programs, and an approximately 3,800 square foot cosmetology salon.

Welding was the first program offered at MTI Springfield, MO. In February 2013, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration), Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting were added. Cosmetology followed in April, and the final programs, CDL and Professional Truck Driving, were added in February 2014.

Midwest Technical Institute is a year-round vocational school providing hands-on training in a diverse mix of mechanical trades, allied health, professional truck driving and cosmetology programs and courses. MTI’s mission is to offer workforce training that will provide graduates with the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in their chosen field.
